The Cranley Hotel London, London

I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable, but the service left much to be desired. The location was convenient, but the dining options were lacking. Overall, it was an average stay with room for improvement.

My stay at the hotel had its ups and downs. The location was fantastic, close to the tube station and a local coffee shop, but some areas were unrefurbished. The rooms were in a disgusting condition initially, with water pouring through a light fitting on the first day. The service was a mix of friendliness and lack of expertise. The dining options were limited to basic items like toast with jam, ham, or cheese. However, there were fresh sushi offerings. Despite these issues, the staff, particularly Vikram the manager, were obliging and helpful.

The hotel is situated in a very desirable area of London, not too far from the underground and restaurants. The rooms, unfortunately, are in a dark basement with a very ugly view and in disgusting condition. The service, particularly from the staff who had just come on shift, was lacking in effort to support their basic staff members who keep it running. The dining options were basic, with butter or cereal included, and the facilities were minimal. The value for money might not be ideal considering the room conditions and service.

The hotel has a very comfy 4 poster bed, but the air con unit in our bedroom was noisy and the room was in a disgusting condition. Despite these drawbacks, the room had a pleasant temperature. The staff were very friendly and provided excellent service, especially Vikram, the manager. However, they need retraining as they came off as rude and not caring about providing good service. The location was great, not too far from the underground and restaurants, and close to Gloucester Road station. Although there were issues with the tube being held through the window with a PVC sheet, the area had so much history and was convenient for sightseeing. The dining options were limited to just coffee and basic items like toast with jam or ham. Facilities were included and satisfactory. The price was reasonable for the value provided.

The hotel is in a lovely neighborhood not far from Kensington high street, with a unique four-poster bed in the room and breakfast included. However, the tiny cooler in the room was ineffective during hot weather, and some staff members need retraining for better service.
